Our definition of the Real Estate sector
The effects of the recent financial crisis have seen the economic importance of the real estate sector increasing exponentially once again. On the one hand, as before, the sustained period of low interest rates has seen considerable amounts of investment money flowing into the investment class of real estate. On the other hand, along with an increased investment-scarcity, the resulting investment pressure has led to both increasing values and more exacting requirements in terms of the selection of suitable transaction properties.
Before this backdrop, we accompany our clients on both the sales and purchasing sides with transactions at real estate companies and developers, with the inspection of real estate and portfolios, and also with the financing of development projects and the repositioning of real estate investments into the non-real estate sector.
Our experience with Real Estate
The partners at Quarton International have considerable experience in all of the stated areas. On this basis, for example, during the restructuring of a family-owned textile company, one of our Partners dissolved the real estate holdings that were unnecessary to the running of the business, developed them, and sold them to a family office. At a leading Swiss property corporation, he was responsible for the project development of a former industrial site into a business center, as well as the portfolio management of investment properties with a volume of more than CHF 1 bn. He also has wide-ranging experience in sophisticated development and financing of projects as well as with transactions.
