The principals of Quarton Partners advised TriMas Corporation in its sale of Lake Erie Products to The Fontana Group.


Lake Erie Products, the industrial fastener division of TriMas Corporation, was acquired by The Fontana Group. The principals of Quarton Partners acted as the exclusive financial advisor to TriMas Corporation, providing valuation expertise, preparing marketing documents, assisting in the negotiations and structuring the transaction.


Lake Erie Products manufactures large-diameter, highly-engineered specialty fasteners. Its products include hex head cap screws, hex head specials, flange bolts and other related items, which are sold to the construction, agriculture, heavy-duty truck and infrastructure end-markets.

Buyer / Investor

The Fontana Group is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fasteners. The Group includes 15 production plants based in Europe and in the United States, as well as a sales organization in all continents, which employs more than 2,500 people. Every year, over 200,000 tons of finished products exit the Group’s plants, corresponding to 10 billion pieces of standard and custom special parts in diameters ranging from 2.5 to 33 mm and lengths from 3 to 500 mm.
